Dear Ramamohan,

various ways of retrieving the COD, including the ones involving the SVN
repository, are documented here:
http://wiki.crystallography.net/howtoobtaincod/

As far as the command line SVN client is involved, you basically need two
commands:
1) Initial retrieval (checkout) of the data:
*svn co svn://www.crystallography.net/cod
<http://www.crystallography.net/cod>*
2) Update of the existing data: *cd cod; svn up*

These might seem difficult at first if you are not familiar with the
command line. However,
it should be possible to use TortoiseSVN with the COD. Have you tried to
simply leave
the credential fields (login, password) blank, i.e. pressing the "Enter"
key when the login
window pops-up? I would test this myself, however, I do not have access to
a Windows
computer.

Sincerely,
Antanas Vaitkus
