Message-ID: <647d1dd6729343e68fd6ab57e95dbcfe@ifw-dresden.de> Hello Crystallography open database, Thanks for your fantastic service! I have issues with the search function: When I use the 1 to 8 elements search function and use "Al" and "O" (everything else left blank) I get the message: "Result: There are no files matching your search criteria Searching elements including Al, O" But when I use the number of distinct elements min and max "2" and "2" I get an (extensive) list also including Al2O3. I would expect Al2O3 also to pop up when searching for 1 to 8 elements. Is that disfunctional? Steps that I took to try to reproduce the error: 1. Go to https://www.crystallography.net/cod/search.html 2. In the "1 to 8 elements" section type "Al" into one of the fields and "O" into another field. The values in the search fields should not contain the surrounding quotes. 3. Press the "Send" button. Upon doing this I get a result page with 9858 entries, first of which is "Al2 O3" (COD ID 1000017). Could you please try to search again just to make sure this was not a transient error? If the error still persists, could you please send some additional information about your setup (web browser name and version number, operating system name and version, etc.)? That specific mirror seems to be running a slightly outdated version of the website and indeed does not currently properly handle the search functionality.
