Just to clarify the dictionary construction process: let's think about dictionaries not as obligations imposed on us; instead, let's think that they give new *possibilities* to us -- possibilities do describe and exchange data.
Which means that it is better to have slightly more data items than slightly less (as Daniel also remarked).
The fact that a data item is in a dictionary does not mean that anybody is *obliged* to provide it. It merely means that it is *possible* to provide it, and those who agree with the definitions in the dictionary will understand what it means.
