Dear colleagues,
it appears that the TCOD mailing list was not working properly, and it took me a while to find the reason and to fix it, even after your bug reports... The culprit seems to be wrong permissions on the server file system.
I am forwarding the very first list announcement email to test the mailing list and to have the announcement recorded in the TCOD archives. If there are more problems, I'll investigate and fix them.
My apologies for this technical glitch.
Sincerely yours, Saulius
-------- Original Message -------- Subject: [TCOD] The launch of TCOD and the TCOD mailing list! Date: Fri, 17 May 2013 12:28:13 +0300 From: Saulius Gražulis grazulis@ibt.lt To: tcod@lists.crystallography.net
Dear colleagues!
as we have discussed, me and Andrius have adapted the existing COD Web software for search, display and deposition of theoretical structures, and launched the TCOD -- Theoretical Crystallography Open Database:
http://www.crystallography.net/tcod/
The first structures deposited as a test are: 1 structure from out friend Björkman Torbjörn, and 91 structure of Hypothetical binodal zeolitic frameworks, from Acta Crystallographica Section B (http://scripts.iucr.org/cgi-bin/paper?BK5018). The zeolites might be better suited for PCOD, possibly, but they were very handy for testing...
The same accounts that are used in COD are also valid for TCOD, no need to re-register.
The most important difference from COD is the logo, so that people really know they are using a different thing :).
Comments, reviews, criticism, are welcome.
With this message, I'd also like to test and announce a the TCOD mailing list at http://lists.crystallography.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tcod
Many thinks are still to be done, but at least we have a working start, like with COD.
Regards, Saulius
