Dear Rainer,

thank you for your deposition and for your request!

Yes, you can edit author list or any other content of your deposition.
Your should be able to update your deposited entries in the following way:

- go to the https://www.crystallography.net/cod web site;

- select "Manage depositions" option on the left of the page (under the
"Add your data" tab);

- log in with your deposition user name and password;

- select the "View your deposition" action;

- click on the link with the structure that you want to update (e.g.
"3000399"); you should get the review of the structure page with the
additional "Update" option;

- click the "Update" link;

- wait for the "Edit" button to appear; click on "Edit"

- you will now get an editor page where you can edit the uploaded CIF;
the author list should be on the top. Don't forget to write a log
message explaining what your edit is about (e.g. "Adding the remaining
structure authors");

- click the "Save and check" button;

- when the the check is complete and /if/ all checks pass, you can click
on "Update" or "Update all valid files" on the result page. Just adding
the authors should not invalidate your otherwise fine CIF, but keep the
syntax right!

The updated file will get a new revision with your changes.

Please try this procedure; do not hesitate to e-mail me (or
cod-bugs at ...) if there are any problems, or you need advice with the CIF
syntax.

In the worst case, if the above method does not work, we will help you
to fix your record directly in the database, but this is usually the
last resort action :).

Sincerely yours,
Saulius
